A large gunmetal finish fleur des lys pendant hangs like an anchor as the focal point of this necklace. I twisted a gunmetal chain around the string of glass and resin beads, full of pearlescence, translucence, and a little bit of iridescence to complete the image. These are all pretty intangible qualities, and being the big horror and fantasy buff I am, it actually reminded me quite a bit of another definition of anchors in the old World of Darkness game Wraith: the Oblivion. In Wraith, ghosts are anchored to the world by objects or people that they were passionate about in life; these fetters keep them from succumbing to oblivion, giving them the opportunity to resolve unfinished business on Earth. I added a small, circular locket to play up the idea of memories as well.
It measures 16 inches and fastens with a lobsterclaw clasp.
